0:03 - 0:08We just recently bought an iPad for our practice. so we have been using lots of
-
0:08 - 0:13different speech and language applications on the iPad
-
0:13 - 0:16uh... and these boys in the special needs unit ...
-
0:16 - 0:19We were just really working on
-
0:19 - 0:23getting him to communicate, engage
-
0:23 - 0:27and initiate conversation with me, and talking about one thing together.
-
0:27 - 0:31And we were really had a lot of trouble doing that
-
0:31 - 0:34for about...we were trying to do that about least thirty minutes every week and
-
0:34 - 0:38he just had a lot of behavior issues and sensory issues.
-
0:38 - 0:42He seems fine on the iPad though. He now knows my name ... is excited when he sees me,
-
0:42 - 0:48and really wants to be involved in using the iPad and with the iPad
-
0:48 - 0:54we have been able to record his language use and his words and his sentences he's making
-
0:54 - 0:58and that he often runs into the class and shows his teacher.
-
0:58 - 1:02Now he's motivated to learn which has been a really great experience.
