We just recently bought an iPad for our practice. so we have been using lots of different speech and language applications on the iPad uh... and these boys in the special needs unit ... We were just really working on getting him to communicate, engage and initiate conversation with me, and talking about one thing together. And we were really had a lot of trouble doing that for about...we were trying to do that about least thirty minutes every week and he just had a lot of behavior issues and sensory issues. He seems fine on the iPad though. He now knows my name ... is excited when he sees me, and really wants to be involved in using the iPad and with the iPad we have been able to record his language use and his words and his sentences he's making and that he often runs into the class and shows his teacher. Now he's motivated to learn which has been a really great experience.
