Hi. I'm Jason Clinton and I'm one
of the hundreds who worked on GNOME 3.
  • 0:08 - 0:12
GNOME 3 is better because we've made it easier
for you to work with your windows.
  • 0:12 - 0:15
To make a window fill the whole screen in GNOME 3,
  • 0:15 - 0:18
all you have to do is drag the titlebar
to the top of the screen.
  • 0:19 - 0:21
To return the window to its previous size,
  • 0:21 - 0:24
just hold the top of the window and drag it down.
  • 0:25 - 0:28
We have also added new ways of working with windows to GNOME
  • 0:28 - 0:30
which will help you work more effectively.
  • 0:30 - 0:34
With GNOME 3, you can snap a window so
that it fills half the screen.
  • 0:34 - 0:37
This is really useful because you can use it to easily
  • 0:37 - 0:39
use two windows side by side.
  • 0:39 - 0:41
Again, the window can be returned to normal
  • 0:41 - 0:43
by dragging it away from the side of the screen.
  • 0:43 - 0:47
This is one the many ways that we've made GNOME 3 better.
  • 0:47 - 0:49
