RNC Sham 2012 Corruption Beyond Belief

  • 0:00 - 0:05
We turn now to a major eruption of fury at the Republican National Convention on Tuesday,
  • 0:05 - 0:08
as the formal nomination process got underway.
  • 0:08 - 0:11
Part of Maine's delegation stormed off the floor in protest
  • 0:11 - 0:15
against a decision to strip away half of the state's Ron Paul delegates.
  • 0:15 - 0:20
*Supportive members of other delegations rose to their feet and hollered their objections,*
  • 0:20 - 0:27
*angered by new rules that they say will make it harder for grassroots candidates to stand a chance in future elections.*
  • 0:27 - 0:31
*His ardent followers used seldom-invoked state party rules*
  • 0:31 - 0:34
*to garner twenty of Maine's twenty-four spots.*
  • 0:34 - 0:41
    - The RNC responded by replacing ten of them, enough to prevent Ron Paul from being nominated, from the floor.
  • 0:41 - 0:45
    - The question on the motion offered by the delegate from Kentucky,
  • 0:45 - 0:50
all those in favour will signify by saying "Aye".
  • 0:50 - 0:55
    *[crowd: "Aye", cheers]*
  • 0:55 - 0:57
    Those opposed, "No".
  • 0:57 - 1:00
    *[crowd: "No", booing]*
  • 1:00 - 1:05
*- The decision caused immediate uproar, but RNC Chair Reince Priebus was in no mood to take a rollcall.*
  • 1:05 - 1:09
    - Without objection, the motion to reconsider is laid upon the table.
  • 1:10 - 1:13
We have to proceed with the order of business...
  • 1:13 - 1:27
    *[crowd chants: "Seat them now!"]*
  • 1:29 - 1:33
    - Mr. Chairman, point of order! Point of order!
  • 1:33 - 1:37
    - It's unfair to us, we sat here and objected, he said, "Are there any objections?"
  • 1:37 - 1:42
We objected, and, you know, it's like, why even ask the question at that point?
  • 1:42 - 1:45
    *[crowd chants: "Point of order!"]*
  • 1:45 - 1:48
    - Maine got screwed of half their delegates, more than half actually.
  • 1:48 - 1:53
That's why their Governor's not here today, because he said he wouldn't come down unless their delegates got seated.
  • 1:53 - 1:59
Half of them got taken away, and they were put in, replaced, by people that the Republican Party, the RNC, picked.
  • 1:59 - 2:03
    *[crowd chants: "Point of order!"]*
  • 2:03 - 2:07
*- Several members of the Maine delegation walked off the floor in protest*
  • 2:07 - 2:11
*after the convention decided to replace ten of its twenty-four delegates.*
  • 2:11 - 2:13
    [audience member:] This is fraud!
  • 2:14 - 2:16
    - This convention is a farce!
  • 2:17 - 2:20
    - They snuck in there trying to say we support our soldiers,
  • 2:20 - 2:23
They appointed seven of them on our delegations.
  • 2:23 - 2:30
Two recently served in Afghanistan and Iraq! How dare they? Shame on them! Shame on them!
  • 2:31 - 2:38
    - The people in Maine should be respected, those voters that put us here, they should be respected!
  • 2:38 - 2:40
    This is a sham!
  • 2:41 - 2:44
I love every one of you guys and I love all those people back home!
  • 2:44 - 2:47
*- Others on the floor were equally outraged.*
  • 2:47 - 2:50
*Kevin Erickson is a delegate from Minnesota.*
  • 2:50 - 2:56
    - What this means is that the states will no longer retain the right under the new rules
  • 2:56 - 2:59
to elect their delegates and have them stand.
  • 2:59 - 3:05
A presumptive nominee will be able to unseat an entire state's delegates if they don't like who's on the slate.
  • 3:05 - 3:10
Giving a Presidential candidate veto power over a state's delegation
  • 3:10 - 3:14
means that future conventions will not have a dissenting voice.
  • 3:14 - 3:17
We won't be able to bring motions and amendments to our platform,
  • 3:17 - 3:20
we won't be able to speak for people who believe differently.
  • 3:20 - 3:25
You're taking a broad tent at a grassroots party and you're turning it into a dictatorship
  • 3:25 - 3:28
that'll be run by a few people with a lot of money,
  • 3:28 - 3:32
and average ordinary people like myself will be out of luck and out of a voice.
  • 3:32 - 3:37
    - The question is on the adoption of the resolution, all those in favour signify by saying "Aye".
  • 3:37 - 3:40
    *[crowd: "Aye"]*
  • 3:40 - 3:41
    All those opposed, "No".
  • 3:41 - 3:44
    *[crowd, loudly: "No"]*
  • 3:44 - 3:46
In the opinion of the chair, the Ayes have it, the resolution is adopted.
  • 3:46 - 3:48
    *[crowd boos]*
  • 3:48 - 3:50
    - All those in favour say "Aye".
  • 3:50 - 3:52
    *[crowd: "Aye"]*
  • 3:52 - 3:54
    All those opposed, "No".
  • 3:54 - 3:57
    *[crowd: "No"]*
  • 3:57 - 3:59
    The Ayes have it...
  • 3:59 - 4:02
    *[crowd shouts and boos loudly]*
  • 4:02 - 4:07
    - The question is on the motion that the Honourable Paul Ryan be nominated by acclamation.
  • 4:07 - 4:13
All those in favour signify by saying "Aye", those opposed say "No"...
  • 4:13 - 4:15
    *[crowd shouts "Aye" and "No"]*
  • 4:15 - 4:17
In the opinion of the chair the Ayes have it.
  • 4:17 - 4:20
    - I'm gonna have to explain the cheers we've been hearing, I had to turn around to see what was going on,
  • 4:20 - 4:25
it was Congressman Ron Paul entering the forum, he still has very much a role within this Republican Party.
  • 4:25 - 4:28
*- [reporter:] Yes, he is, I just saw him come through here, and as he went by me*
  • 4:28 - 4:34
*there were a lot of young voters, they're the ones who really loved him, stopping him, taking pictures of him to tweet out,*
  • 4:34 - 4:40
*and he came in with his same smile that he's had, and he's become something of a cult hero in the party...*
  • 4:43 - 5:07
    *[crowd chants: "Let him speak!"]*
  • 5:07 - 5:18
    *[crowd cheers and applauds]*
  • 5:22 - 5:29
    - Madam Secretary, I am honoured to lead the Republican Party in the Ocean State. It's the little state...
  • 5:40 - 5:41
    - You can't have that sir.
  • 5:41 - 5:44
    - [crowd member:] It's my property, I'm sorry, that's my... I'm sorry, what's your name?
  • 5:57 - 5:59
    - [cameraman:] You, er, took the sign?
  • 6:00 - 6:06
*- [speaker:] Four votes for Ron Paul, and the overwhelming majority, fifteen votes,*
  • 6:06 - 6:10
*to the next President of the United States, Mitt Romney!*
  • 6:13 - 6:17
    - Rhode Island, fifteen, Romney.
  • 6:17 - 6:20
    *[crowd shouts: "Four Ron Paul!"]*
  • 6:20 - 6:28
    - On behalf of the Georgia Republican voters... proudly give seventy-two of our delegate votes
  • 6:28 - 6:34
to the next President of the United States, Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan.
  • 6:34 - 6:38
    *[crowd cheers]*
  • 6:38 - 6:40
    Three votes for Ron...
  • 6:40 - 6:43
    *[microphone cuts out]*
  • 6:44 - 6:46
    *[anchors:] - I, I...
    -That's it?*
  • 6:46 - 6:51
*- Well done. Whoever controlled the microphone did a great job. [laughs]*
  • 6:51 - 6:58
    - And I am proud to say that we are going to support the President, the next President of the United States,
  • 6:58 - 7:05
by casting sixty-seven votes for Mitt Romney, and five votes for Paul Ryan.
  • 7:10 - 7:14
    - Pennsylvania, sixty-seven, Romney.
  • 7:14 - 7:17
    *[crowd: Five Ron Paul!]*
  • 7:17 - 7:22
    - Iowa casts twenty-two votes for Ron Paul...
  • 7:22 - 7:30
    *[crowd cheers, chants "Ron Paul!"]*
  • 7:30 - 7:34
... and six votes for Mitt Romney.
  • 7:34 - 7:38
    *[crowd cheers]*
  • 7:39 - 7:42
    - Iowa, six, Romney.
  • 7:42 - 7:46
    - Minnesota, where we are very proud of our state Republican Party,
  • 7:46 - 7:51
which runs a fair convention with integrity.
  • 7:51 - 7:53
    *[crowd cheers]*
  • 7:53 - 7:57
casts thirty-three votes for Ron Paul...
  • 7:57 - 8:01
    *[crowd cheers]*
  • 8:01 - 8:09
... one vote for Senator Rick Santorum, and six votes for Governor Romney.
  • 8:13 - 8:17
    - Minnesota, six, Romney.
  • 8:17 - 8:23
    - We proudly cast seventeen votes for Congressman Ron Paul...
  • 8:23 - 8:28
    *[crowd cheers]*
  • 8:28 - 8:32
... five abstentions, and five for Romney.
  • 8:36 - 8:40
    - Nevada, five, Romney.
  • 8:40 - 8:48
    [slowed] Nevada, five, Romney.
  • 8:48 - 8:52
    - I gotta tell you, I like your dad, you love your dad, but I like him a lot,
  • 8:52 - 8:57
and I was pretty shocked to hear that they wouldn't even read from the podium
  • 8:57 - 9:00
how many votes Congressman Paul got.
  • 9:00 - 9:04
*[Sen. Rand Paul:]* Well one of the interesting things was the crowd was reciting how many he got,
  • 9:04 - 9:08
so when they wouldn't announce it from the podium, you would hear an echo from the crowd
  • 9:08 - 9:11
of the Ron Paul supporters who were announcing his totals.
  • 9:11 - 9:14
    - Why didn't they do that? This seems so petty and so ridiculous,
  • 9:14 - 9:17
I mean, your father worked hard in the Republican Party,
  • 9:17 - 9:23
*he went through all the rules, I believe he didn't do anything illegal in getting those votes, he went through the process...*
  • 9:23 - 9:27
This is the last time he's running for President of the United States, I just thought it was inappropriate
  • 9:27 - 9:32
to end his political career, if you will, on a note like this before his own party.
  • 9:32 - 9:37
    *[Music: Hans Zimmer, "Time"]*
  • 10:16 - 10:19
    *[letter text:] Dear Friend,*
  • 10:19 - 10:25
*I can't tell you how touched I've been by my supporters' generosity from day one of my Presidential campaign.*
  • 10:25 - 10:30
*Your support has made an incredible impact that will continue on well into the future.*
  • 10:30 - 10:36
*In fact, as I look back at the past year, I'm literally amazed at how far we've come.*
  • 10:36 - 10:42
*Today, we can catch a glimpse of our future - and it's a bright one.*
  • 10:42 - 10:47
*Due to our Liberty Movement's youth, energy, and growing numbers, establishment Republicans are recognizing*
  • 10:47 - 10:52
*their days of controlling the national GOP are coming to an end.*
  • 10:52 - 10:59
*Even now, they are being forced to recognize that our issues - like finally auditing the Federal Reserve - are not going away.*
  • 10:59 - 11:04
*My hope is, with your continued support, it will not end until free markets, sound money, Constitutional Principles,*
  • 11:04 - 11:09
*respect for individual liberty, and a common-sense foreign policy are all restored in America.*
  • 11:09 - 11:12
*For your generosity and all that you'll continue to do in the name of liberty, thank you.*
  • 11:12 - 11:13
    *For liberty,*
  • 11:13 - 11:16
    *Ron Paul*
Title:
RNC Sham 2012 Corruption Beyond Belief
Description:

When Ron Paul's Maine Delegates tried to be heard you can hear Romney supporters trying to drown them out by chanting "Romney". They were quickly overwhelmed by larger numbers who answered with "Ron Paul". Congratulations Romney supporters, you just DESTROYED the Republican Party and facilitated the end of America. This is the day when the Bankers quit hiding the fact that they choose our presidents, and that the American people have no say in it. The GOP just lost the election by demonstrating utter corruption. They have no one to blame but themselves.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE GOP AND THE MAFIA?
ONE IS A RUTHLESS CRIME SYNDICATE, WHICH USES VIOLENCE, FRAUD, INTIMIDATION, AND TREACHERY TO GAIN AND TO HOLD POWER.
THE OTHER IS A SMALLER, LESS POWERFUL, CRIME ORGANIZATION THAT WAS FOUNDED IN ITALY.

We saw vote fraud, delegate intimidation, hidden & stolen votes. Even police power was being used to control our political process. Delegates who would not vote for Romney were SIMPLY UNSEATED AND REMOVED. At the Louisiana GOP State Convention a properly elected 70 yr old handicapped delegate was attacked by police. His hip was broken, and he was taken away on a stretcher. All of this happened in front of scores of witnesses with cameras. Did you see this on TV?

Conventions were closed without a motion to adjourn. Electricity was turned off.

In Massachusetts duly elected delegates, who would not signed an affadavit to vote for Romney, were replaced by others who had not been elected.

None of this conceals the real popularity of Ron Paul, and the principles of liberty, as anyone can see by watching this video. Now we are told that we must vote for the lesser of 2 evils. Which one is that: the Communist or the Fascist?

Thomas Jefferson said:
"The price of freedom is eternal vigilance."
I add to this:
"The battle for freedom is never won, and is never lost.
The battle for freedom always continues.
It is never too late, and it is never soon enough, to defend freedom.
No matter how enslaved we are, we always have hope.
No matter how free we are we are never safe.
NOTHING EVER LIMITS THE GOVERNMENT, EXCEPT THE PEOPLE.
Any generation that fails to defend freedom will lose it.
The next generation will have to shed blood to gain it back"
John Perna

When the defense of liberty becomes a crime, tyranny is already in force. At that point failure to defend liberty makes slavery at certainty.
