High Income Businesses You Can Start in 2024

  • 0:00 - 0:02
    Thanks to HubSpot
    for sponsoring this video.
  • 0:02 - 0:05
So naturally, a lot of people think
that to get a high income job,
  • 0:05 - 0:07
you need to go to university.
  • 0:07 - 0:09
    Now, there is nothing wrong
    with going to university.
  • 0:10 - 0:13
I think if you're doing something
    that requires a university degree,
  • 0:13 - 0:14
    then, of course,
you have to go to university.
  • 0:14 - 0:15
It makes a lot of sense.
  • 0:15 - 0:18
But I also like to make the case
    that you can make money
  • 0:18 - 0:20
without having to go to university.
  • 0:20 - 0:21
And I'm the prime example here.
  • 0:21 - 0:24
I'm someone who is not going to
university, is not going to college.
  • 0:24 - 0:26
And I've been able to build income streams,
  • 0:26 - 0:29
I've been able to build businesses
that can make me serious money,
  • 0:29 - 0:31
more money than most 9 to 5 jobs.
  • 0:31 - 0:34
I feel like we're also very lucky
where we live in this digital age,
  • 0:34 - 0:38
where you can make a business
just by sitting behind your computer.
  • 0:38 - 0:41
It blows my mind and it's exactly
the type of businesses I've built.
  • 0:41 - 0:44
    So in this video,
I wanted to share some business ideas
  • 0:44 - 0:46
    that you can start,
    that are actual proper businesses.
  • 0:46 - 0:48
They don't have to just be side hustles
  • 0:48 - 0:49
that make a little bit of money.
  • 0:49 - 0:52
    They can be grown
    into fully fledged businesses.
  • 0:52 - 0:53
    The other great thing
    about the businesses
  • 0:53 - 0:55
that I'm going to be covering
    is that they don't require
  • 0:55 - 0:57
a ton of money to get started.
  • 0:57 - 0:59
    You can usually get started
    with what you already have,
  • 1:00 - 1:01
    and they also provide
  • 1:01 - 1:03
a lot of flexibility and freedom,
    which is important to me.
  • 1:03 - 1:06
The whole idea, the whole point of me
    starting online businesses
  • 1:06 - 1:09
    and doing online
businesses is so that I have freedom.
  • 1:09 - 1:11
    So number one is,
    of course, content creation.
  • 1:11 - 1:14
So I have turned content creation
    into a full time business.
  • 1:14 - 1:17
A lot of you that are watching
this channel may not already know
  • 1:18 - 1:20
that I actually have another YouTube channel.
  • 1:20 - 1:21
I have a tech YouTube channel.
  • 1:21 - 1:23
    I also make content
    for Instagram and TikTok.
  • 1:24 - 1:25
I make content for all sorts,
  • 1:25 - 1:27
and I had be making content
    for over ten years now.
  • 1:27 - 1:30
Content creation for me has unlocked
    so many different opportunities.
  • 1:31 - 1:32
And now with the position that I'm in,
  • 1:32 - 1:34
I run a couple of YouTube channels.
  • 1:34 - 1:36
    I'm starting new YouTube channels,
  • 1:36 - 1:37
I have Instagram, I have TikTok,
  • 1:37 - 1:39
    I'm making content for brands.
  • 1:39 - 1:41
There's just so many different ways
    that content creation
  • 1:41 - 1:43
has helped me make a lot of money.
  • 1:43 - 1:46
I think the best thing about content
creation is that you can turn things
  • 1:46 - 1:48
that you already love doing into content.
  • 1:48 - 1:50
It is very easy to get started.
  • 1:50 - 1:52
Now, of course, it's not easy to grow,
  • 1:52 - 1:55
but I think with the way
    the Internet is right now,
  • 1:55 - 1:57
    you can make content
    really about anything.
  • 1:57 - 1:58
    You can find niches everywhere.
  • 1:58 - 2:01
    If you love doing something,
    if you love sharing something,
  • 2:01 - 2:05
there will be other people out there
who also love that same thing.
  • 2:05 - 2:07
    For me, it was tech,
it was gadgets, it was design,
  • 2:07 - 2:09
sort of those things mixed together,
  • 2:09 - 2:11
especially product design and things like that,
  • 2:11 - 2:13
    all of that mixed together,
    that's what I loved,
  • 2:13 - 2:15
    and that's what
I made a YouTube channel about.
  • 2:15 - 2:17
    And it's growing really well.
  • 2:17 - 2:18
    It's doing incredibly well.
  • 2:18 - 2:20
    It's making an incredible
    amount of money for me
  • 2:20 - 2:22
and it's just been such a great way
  • 2:22 - 2:24
    for me to turn something
that I love into a business.
  • 2:24 - 2:27
The other great thing about content
    creation and social media
  • 2:27 - 2:29
is that it's not just about you.
  • 2:29 - 2:31
I think a lot of people fall
    into the trap of thinking
  • 2:31 - 2:33
that they have to make content
    where they're in it,
  • 2:33 - 2:34
when they're doing the voice overs,
  • 2:34 - 2:36
where their face is on camera
    and stuff like that.
  • 2:36 - 2:37
    Not at all.
  • 2:37 - 2:39
You can really do all sorts of stuff.
  • 2:39 - 2:41
You don't even have to do
    content creation for yourself,
  • 2:41 - 2:42
    you can do it
    for other businesses as well.
  • 2:42 - 2:44
If you are interested in social media trends,
  • 2:44 - 2:48
HubSpot have put together a social media
    trends report and expert panel.
  • 2:48 - 2:50
If you want to follow in my footsteps
  • 2:50 - 2:52
    of making a business
    out of content creation,
  • 2:52 - 2:54
one thing I would highly recommend
  • 2:54 - 2:57
is just keeping up with social media
    trends and seeing what's trending.
  • 2:57 - 3:00
Of course, the one issue is how
do we know what's actually trending?
  • 3:00 - 3:03
    Because things are moving very,
very fast in the social media world.
  • 3:03 - 3:05
But I have just the right resource here
  • 3:05 - 3:08
to help stay on top of this year's trends.
  • 3:08 - 3:10
    HubSpot's Social Media Trends Report.
  • 3:10 - 3:12
It's an e-book that covers a wide range
  • 3:12 - 3:14
    of social media trends,
    including community building,
  • 3:14 - 3:16
    social commerce, influencer marketing,
  • 3:16 - 3:20
    content creation, AI,
    and platform specific strategies.
  • 3:20 - 3:22
    There's a whopping 40 pages
  • 3:22 - 3:24
    of insanely valuable information
    in this e-book.
  • 3:24 - 3:27
It's a vital resource for anyone who
wants to take social media seriously.
  • 3:28 - 3:30
    It covers important metrics,
    goals and challenges
  • 3:30 - 3:31
    faced by social media marketers,
  • 3:31 - 3:34
    providing benchmarks
    and insights to measure success.
  • 3:34 - 3:38
    Understanding user behaviour trends
    highlighted in the report enables
  • 3:38 - 3:41
    tailored content strategies,
    ensuring content resonates
  • 3:41 - 3:44
    with audiences and drives
    meaningful engagement.
  • 3:44 - 3:46
    By anticipating future trends
  • 3:46 - 3:48
    and staying informed
    about competitors strategies.
  • 3:48 - 3:51
    Those who take social media
    seriously can maintain relevance,
  • 3:52 - 3:53
    optimise advertising campaigns,
  • 3:53 - 3:56
and can stay ahead in the landscape
    of social media marketing.
  • 3:56 - 4:00
Content creation for me has been
the biggest driver for my business.
  • 4:00 - 4:02
It's how I've been able to give myself
  • 4:02 - 4:04
the freedom, freedom to grow my business.
  • 4:04 - 4:07
This e-book does a great job
    of demonstrating that content creation
  • 4:07 - 4:10
    can be a huge driver
    of new customers and revenue
  • 4:10 - 4:12
for pretty much any type of business.
  • 4:12 - 4:13
So make sure to check it out.
  • 4:13 - 4:15
    It's completely free to download.
  • 4:15 - 4:17
    Next up is short
    form content and repurposing.
  • 4:18 - 4:21
So if you have any sort of skill
when it comes to video editing,
  • 4:21 - 4:24
which I think is actually fairly easy to pick up,
  • 4:24 - 4:25
this is such a great business.
  • 4:25 - 4:27
This is such an easy way
    to make some money.
  • 4:27 - 4:31
But growing a business like this for
a lot of people can be quite difficult
  • 4:31 - 4:33
and it's because they go about it
    in the wrong way.
  • 4:33 - 4:36
What I've noticed is that a lot
of editors that are making shorts
  • 4:36 - 4:37
    don't really have a style,
  • 4:37 - 4:40
and they're also not really seeing what's trending
  • 4:40 - 4:42
    on the social media
sort of landscape, you could say.
  • 4:42 - 4:44
    They're not seeing
    what other types of clips
  • 4:44 - 4:46
    people actually want to see.
  • 4:46 - 4:49
So I find a lot of these short-form editors,
  • 4:49 - 4:51
    they're just trying
to make as many clips as possible
  • 4:51 - 4:52
just to get the job done.
  • 4:52 - 4:53
However, if you wanna make big money,
  • 4:53 - 4:56
    proper money when it comes
    to making short form content,
  • 4:56 - 4:58
editing short form content for businesses,
  • 4:58 - 5:00
for creators, whatever it might be,
  • 5:00 - 5:03
it's all about coming up with clips
    that will either go viral
  • 5:03 - 5:06
    or can actually make money
    for the end client.
  • 5:06 - 5:08
    A lot of people don't
seem to really be focusing on that.
  • 5:08 - 5:10
Like I said, they're just trying to make
    as many clips as possible.
  • 5:10 - 5:12
    But if you can prove
  • 5:12 - 5:14
that your clips are either going viral
  • 5:14 - 5:17
    or they're bringing conversions,
you can charge a lot more money.
  • 5:17 - 5:19
I would happily pay for a short film editor
  • 5:19 - 5:21
who I know can regularly get me
  • 5:21 - 5:23
    hundreds of thousands of views,
    or millions of views
  • 5:23 - 5:26
or who can sort of figure out
  • 5:26 - 5:28
    what's trending, what's not trending.
  • 5:28 - 5:29
Look at my videos and stuff.
  • 5:29 - 5:33
See where they could see a clip
    maybe potentially going viral
  • 5:33 - 5:35
or maybe for other parts of my business
  • 5:35 - 5:36
so that it helps drive revenue.
  • 5:36 - 5:38
    If they can prove
    all those sorts of things,
  • 5:38 - 5:40
I'm happy to pay them big money.
  • 5:40 - 5:43
    They're obviously
being able to deliver the results,
  • 5:43 - 5:45
I want to be able to reward them
    for those results.
  • 5:45 - 5:47
And I know there are short form
    editors out there
  • 5:47 - 5:49
    who are making well over
    five figures a month.
  • 5:49 - 5:50
    They have a few clients,
  • 5:50 - 5:51
they don't have that many clients,
  • 5:51 - 5:53
    maybe three or four clients,
  • 5:53 - 5:54
    but they're regularly churning out
  • 5:54 - 5:56
    good quality repurposed videos
  • 5:57 - 5:58
that are doing well for their clients.
  • 5:58 - 5:59
And that's the most important thing.
  • 5:59 - 6:01
Instead of just trying to figure out,
  • 6:01 - 6:03
I'm gonna make ten clips for like $1,000.
  • 6:03 - 6:03
    No, no, no.
  • 6:03 - 6:06
And I think it's actually better
    to make sure
  • 6:06 - 6:08
    that the clips you're making
are actually going to do well.
  • 6:08 - 6:11
    Another thing that I've noticed
when it comes to short form content
  • 6:11 - 6:15
is that a lot of people
try to overdo this sort of flashy ideas,
  • 6:15 - 6:17
    try to do crazy captions
or sound effects and things like that.
  • 6:17 - 6:21
But some of the most viral clips
    that I've seen online
  • 6:21 - 6:23
don't have any flashy editing at all.
  • 6:23 - 6:25
    The person has just found
  • 6:25 - 6:29
a clip from a video or from a podcast
    or something like that,
  • 6:29 - 6:30
which they know will go viral.
  • 6:30 - 6:32
    They've gone through the effort
    of figuring out
  • 6:32 - 6:35
    what can work on places
    like Instagram and TikTok.
  • 6:35 - 6:36
    Tutoring.
  • 6:36 - 6:39
So this is a perfect one
for anyone who is also a student,
  • 6:39 - 6:40
    because I've always said
  • 6:40 - 6:43
that the best person to teach
    another person is another person
  • 6:43 - 6:45
who's also learning that same thing,
  • 6:45 - 6:47
but are only a few steps ahead.
  • 6:47 - 6:51
I found that people who are already
very, very knowledgeable in a subject,
  • 6:51 - 6:52
    aren't actually great teachers,
  • 6:53 - 6:54
because they're already way too far ahead,
  • 6:54 - 6:56
    maybe they've learnt
    the basics or something
  • 6:57 - 6:59
    years ago, decades ago,
    and now teaching someone
  • 7:00 - 7:03
who is completely new to the subject
can actually be very, very difficult,
  • 7:03 - 7:05
    because they're thinking years ahead
    whilst this new beginner,
  • 7:05 - 7:07
    this person is just starting
    to learn the subject,
  • 7:07 - 7:09
    is trying to just learn
    the fundamentals and the basics.
  • 7:09 - 7:11
So it can be quite hard for those two people
  • 7:11 - 7:13
to really learn from each other.
  • 7:13 - 7:14
The best person to learn from
  • 7:14 - 7:17
    is someone who's just
a few steps ahead of you.
  • 7:17 - 7:18
    And the great thing
    about something like this
  • 7:18 - 7:20
is that you don't need to be an expert.
  • 7:20 - 7:24
You don't need to know everything
about a certain subject to teach it.
  • 7:24 - 7:26
And I think that's why tutoring
  • 7:26 - 7:28
is actually such a great way to make money,
  • 7:28 - 7:31
because a lot of people fall
    into the trap of thinking
  • 7:31 - 7:32
    that they need
to be an expert in a subject
  • 7:32 - 7:33
and they need to know everything
  • 7:33 - 7:36
    about this certain subject
to teach it to someone else.
  • 7:36 - 7:38
And yeah, it just really isn't the case.
  • 7:38 - 7:40
So if you're someone who's also a beginner,
  • 7:40 - 7:41
who wants to make some money,
  • 7:41 - 7:44
who wants to be able to--
You can make a lot of money doing this.
  • 7:44 - 7:47
    You're in the perfect position
    to also teach someone else.
  • 7:47 - 7:50
    The great thing about this
is that if you want someone
  • 7:50 - 7:53
who happens to be at university
    and you're watching this video,
  • 7:53 - 7:55
    you can be someone
    who's teaching multiple people.
  • 7:55 - 7:57
So you can have your own class.
  • 7:57 - 8:00
    You can teach multiple students,
multiple people at the same time,
  • 8:00 - 8:02
    and you can charge them
    all the same rate.
  • 8:02 - 8:05
Really sort of maximising your income,
    scaling your income.
  • 8:05 - 8:07
This is such a great way
    to scaling your income,
  • 8:07 - 8:09
    having lots of people
that you can teach at the same time.
  • 8:09 - 8:11
And then if you want to take it up a notch,
  • 8:11 - 8:12
you wanna take it to the next level.
  • 8:12 - 8:14
    You can make courses.
  • 8:14 - 8:17
    Digital courses especially
    are such great businesses.
  • 8:17 - 8:19
    I know so many people
    who have digital courses
  • 8:19 - 8:21
    that are teaching stuff online.
  • 8:21 - 8:23
    They've put a curriculum together
  • 8:23 - 8:25
    and they're making absolute bank.
  • 8:25 - 8:27
Because it's such a scalable business,
  • 8:27 - 8:30
    you're not necessarily limited
to a number of students in a class.
  • 8:30 - 8:33
You can really just sell it
to as many people as you like.
  • 8:33 - 8:35
I have my own course, videocreatorcourse.com,
  • 8:35 - 8:36
    and it makes great money.
  • 8:36 - 8:37
I sort of just have it
    sitting in the background.
  • 8:37 - 8:40
It's all about how to make high quality videos,
  • 8:40 - 8:41
    not necessarily for YouTube,
  • 8:41 - 8:43
    but just making high quality
    videos in general.
  • 8:43 - 8:45
And yeah, the great thing about it
  • 8:45 - 8:47
is that it's sort of just making money
    passively in the background.
  • 8:47 - 8:49
But there are creators out there
  • 8:49 - 8:52
    who have turned courses
    into fully fledged businesses
  • 8:52 - 8:53
    that are just making millions.
  • 8:53 - 8:55
    Making millions is absolutely insane.
  • 8:55 - 8:59
    Because people
are willing to pay for knowledge.
  • 8:59 - 9:00
    That's the most valuable thing
    about courses.
  • 9:00 - 9:03
    If you can teach something
    that's valuable to other people
  • 9:03 - 9:06
where they can use it to
    maybe make their life better,
  • 9:07 - 9:08
    maybe make relationships, love,
  • 9:08 - 9:10
whatever might better, make them money.
  • 9:10 - 9:13
    Sort of those three things
    happiness, love, money.
  • 9:13 - 9:14
    If you can teach something
  • 9:14 - 9:16
    that takes advantage
of one of those three things,
  • 9:16 - 9:18
you can make a lot of money.
  • 9:18 - 9:21
I found with courses the people
who are looking to buy courses,
  • 9:21 - 9:23
that are looking to learn stuff
    from courses,
  • 9:23 - 9:26
they're looking for the money details,
  • 9:26 - 9:28
    they're looking
for the finier details in things
  • 9:28 - 9:31
    because they wanna see
how other people are doing it.
  • 9:31 - 9:33
They wanna see systems and processes in place
  • 9:33 - 9:35
that has worked for someone else
  • 9:35 - 9:38
and they wanna see if they can apply
    the same systems and processes
  • 9:38 - 9:41
to their own sort of way of life,
their own way of doing things.
  • 9:41 - 9:43
Gym workouts are a perfect example of this.
  • 9:44 - 9:45
If you see someone who you think,
  • 9:45 - 9:47
    "Wow, they look incredible,"
  • 9:47 - 9:50
you might also be interested in
"How can I look like that?"
  • 9:50 - 9:53
So if that person had a course,
if they shared their gym routine,
  • 9:53 - 9:55
you're obviously going to look at it
    and you're going to think,
  • 9:55 - 9:57
okay, let's see what they're doing
  • 9:57 - 9:59
and maybe I'm missing out on something.
  • 9:59 - 10:00
Maybe I'm not doing something right,
  • 10:00 - 10:02
because clearly they're doing something right
  • 10:02 - 10:03
that I'm not doing right now.
  • 10:03 - 10:04
    Social media management.
  • 10:04 - 10:06
So this is one I've covered in the channel before,
  • 10:06 - 10:08
but there are so many businesses out there,
  • 10:08 - 10:11
    especially businesses
run by older people, who you could say,
  • 10:12 - 10:14
    who just have no clue
    about social media.
  • 10:14 - 10:16
    They don't know anything
    about Instagram, TikTok,
  • 10:16 - 10:17
YouTube or any other sort of social platforms.
  • 10:17 - 10:20
They don't know what it takes
    to make content.
  • 10:20 - 10:21
They don't know how to publish content,
  • 10:21 - 10:23
    they don't know
what type of content to make.
  • 10:23 - 10:25
And it's not just older people.
  • 10:25 - 10:26
    There are also people,
  • 10:26 - 10:29
young people who don't really have
    any idea of social media.
  • 10:29 - 10:31
These businesses, these sorts of people,
  • 10:31 - 10:35
    they are usually willing
to pay someone else to do it for them.
  • 10:35 - 10:36
    And that's the whole point.
  • 10:36 - 10:38
If you can take the pain away
    from someone else
  • 10:38 - 10:40
and also make their lives better,
    make them more money,
  • 10:41 - 10:43
    you can charge big money
    for social media management.
  • 10:43 - 10:46
The great thing about this business
is that it is somewhat scalable.
  • 10:46 - 10:49
    So if you have systems
    and processes in place,
  • 10:49 - 10:50
there's no reason why you can't have three,
  • 10:50 - 10:52
four, five businesses where you're charging
  • 10:52 - 10:55
    maybe between 2 to $5000 a month,
  • 10:55 - 10:56
    maybe even $10,000 a month,
  • 10:56 - 10:58
depending on how much you're doing for them.
  • 10:58 - 11:01
You can also hire other people
to come in and help you with those things.
  • 11:01 - 11:02
    It's such a great way
    to build a business
  • 11:02 - 11:05
that can make quite a lot of money
    quite quickly.
  • 11:05 - 11:07
    If you're someone
    who is social media savvy,
  • 11:07 - 11:08
I think it makes a lot of sense.
  • 11:08 - 11:10
One angle that I would take with this,
  • 11:10 - 11:12
    which is what I mentioned
    earlier on in the video,
  • 11:12 - 11:15
if you can show a client or a business,
whoever you're selling your skills to,
  • 11:16 - 11:18
that you're either bringing in views
    or you're making them money.
  • 11:19 - 11:22
They're going to be more than willing
    to pay for your services.
  • 11:22 - 11:25
Next up, we have UI/UX design
    and website creation.
  • 11:25 - 11:27
So well before I started doing YouTube
  • 11:27 - 11:28
and started making money from YouTube,
  • 11:28 - 11:30
    my main source of income
  • 11:30 - 11:33
    was UI/UX design
    and making websites for clients.
  • 11:33 - 11:36
    And let me tell you,
I made a lot of money doing that.
  • 11:36 - 11:39
It was just one of the best things
    that I ever did,
  • 11:39 - 11:40
it's one of the best skills
    I ever learned.
  • 11:40 - 11:42
I made a lot of money very, very quickly.
  • 11:42 - 11:44
A few years into my career,
  • 11:44 - 11:47
    I was charging $500 to $1000 a day
  • 11:47 - 11:49
for my services depending on the client,
  • 11:49 - 11:51
    depending on the business,
    depending on what they needed.
  • 11:51 - 11:53
And I remember thinking at the time, like,
  • 11:53 - 11:59
    "Holy moly, I can't believe I'm charging
$1,000 a day for my time."
  • 11:59 - 12:02
    Obviously I'm selling my time,
    but still, it's $1,000,
  • 12:02 - 12:04
like I was in my early twenties,
    mid twenties.
  • 12:04 - 12:06
And I think to myself, this is outrageous.
  • 12:06 - 12:07
    $1,000 a day.
  • 12:07 - 12:09
    I did have some imposter
    syndrome back then.
  • 12:09 - 12:10
So I was thinking to myself,
  • 12:10 - 12:12
    I can't believe I'm charging $1,000 a day.
  • 12:12 - 12:13
But now when I think back,
  • 12:13 - 12:16
the reason why I was charging $1,000 a day
  • 12:16 - 12:19
    was because those sorts
of skills just wasn't that common.
  • 12:19 - 12:21
Not a lot of people had those skills.
  • 12:21 - 12:23
Not a lot of people had the style
that I had when it came to
  • 12:24 - 12:25
    UI/UX design and making websites.
  • 12:25 - 12:27
And that's the one thing I realised
  • 12:27 - 12:29
from nearly all of the clients that hired me.
  • 12:29 - 12:31
They were looking for my specific style
  • 12:32 - 12:36
    and that's what's so important
    about UI/UX and website creation.
  • 12:36 - 12:37
Having a style that's pretty unique
  • 12:37 - 12:40
but also very refined and can deliver results.
  • 12:40 - 12:43
The other thing is most people
    just aren't that technical.
  • 12:43 - 12:44
They don't wanna be messing around,
  • 12:44 - 12:47
spending time learning how to use Figma,
  • 12:47 - 12:48
which is what I use to design,
  • 12:49 - 12:50
    and using things like Framer
  • 12:50 - 12:52
or learning how to code to make websites.
  • 12:52 - 12:54
Just like with social media management,
  • 12:54 - 12:57
most businesses, they don't wanna be focusing
    on making a website.
  • 12:57 - 12:59
They don't want to be running
    a website, nothing like that.
  • 12:59 - 13:01
    They would much rather pay
    someone else to do it.
  • 13:01 - 13:04
And the great thing about websites
is that we know they make money
  • 13:04 - 13:07
    They're a good face for a business,
    whether it's like a restaurant,
  • 13:07 - 13:09
    whether it's an e-commerce store,
    or whatever it might be.
  • 13:09 - 13:11
We know it's a way for people to look
  • 13:11 - 13:14
    for that business online
and for that business to make money.
  • 13:15 - 13:17
And you could even take it
    a step further.
  • 13:17 - 13:18
You can go to the business and be like,
  • 13:18 - 13:21
"Look, I will make your website for free.
  • 13:21 - 13:23
However, any clients I get for you,
  • 13:23 - 13:25
any customers I get for you through the website,
  • 13:25 - 13:26
    I take a cut."
  • 13:26 - 13:29
    Maybe it's 5%, 10%, 20%,
    whatever it might be.
  • 13:29 - 13:32
    That's such a good way
to make a lot of money.
  • 13:32 - 13:34
This is also a very scalable business,
  • 13:34 - 13:35
because once you've made a website,
  • 13:35 - 13:37
you could just charge a retainer fee.
  • 13:37 - 13:40
You can also hire other people
to come in to manage websites,
  • 13:40 - 13:42
    to make websites with you,
to make websites for your clients.
  • 13:42 - 13:44
It's just a very scalable business.
  • 13:44 - 13:46
And there are so many companies,
    so many agencies out there
  • 13:46 - 13:48
    that we already know
    are making millions doing this.
  • 13:48 - 13:50
    Another thing
    that's become very popular
  • 13:50 - 13:53
is just charging businesses on a monthly basis,
  • 13:53 - 13:54
    a retainer, essentially.
  • 13:54 - 13:58
    And Darrel, a designer
who shares his work on Twitter,
  • 13:58 - 14:01
    he runs a design agency
    called endless.design,
  • 14:01 - 14:04
where he charges $8,000 a month.
  • 14:05 - 14:08
    And he's doing incredibly
well from the info he's sharing on Twitter.
  • 14:08 - 14:10
And it's a simple retainer package
  • 14:10 - 14:13
that gives you basically one design lead,
  • 14:13 - 14:15
one senior designer five days a week,
  • 14:15 - 14:16
    one request at a time,
  • 14:16 - 14:19
    you get an unlimited amount
of design work in that time.
  • 14:20 - 14:22
    Dedicated Slack Channel, unlimited revisions,
  • 14:22 - 14:24
    and a 48 hour delivery.
  • 14:24 - 14:25
    And he's charging $8,000 a month.
  • 14:25 - 14:27
    And you can see
he only has one spot left already.
  • 14:27 - 14:30
So people are clearly paying for this
and he's making a lot of money.
  • 14:30 - 14:33
And like I said, if you have
    other people in the business,
  • 14:33 - 14:34
you can have more and more spots,
  • 14:34 - 14:37
you can have more availability for clients.
  • 14:37 - 14:39
This is a fantastic way to make money.
  • 14:39 - 14:42
    And like I said,
it's how I used to make money
  • 14:42 - 14:43
    before I made YouTube videos
  • 14:43 - 14:45
and I made a lot of money doing it.
  • 14:45 - 14:47
I made a couple of million
    doing this sort of thing.
  • 14:47 - 14:48
    That's it for this video.
  • 14:48 - 14:50
    Hopefully, you guys enjoyed it.
  • 14:50 - 14:53
As you can see, I am in a new setup.
  • 14:53 - 14:54
I have a completely new setup.
  • 14:54 - 14:56
This is in my new office in Dubai.
  • 14:57 - 14:58
I still have a few things I need to setup.
  • 14:58 - 15:00
I still have a few things I need to sort out.
  • 15:00 - 15:01
    Like my microphone.
  • 15:01 - 15:04
    I'm using this lavalier mic,
    a sort of DJI mic,
  • 15:04 - 15:05
    instead of my podcast mic.
  • 15:05 - 15:07
I miss my podcast mic. I need it to come.
  • 15:07 - 15:09
I'm sort of just waiting for things to set up.
  • 15:09 - 15:12
I'm shipping a lot of things
    from the UK to Dubai,
  • 15:12 - 15:14
so I'm waiting for things to arrive.
  • 15:14 - 15:16
So yeah, things will go back to normal,
  • 15:16 - 15:18
    the high quality Oliur
    will go back to normal.
  • 15:18 - 15:20
    Hopefully, you guys enjoyed it.
  • 15:20 - 15:21
Follow me on Instagram and Twitter,
  • 15:21 - 15:22
