Happy October to our scholars and parents! Did you know October 1904 is when the New York City subway began operating? In honor of its anniversary, we have a special link to the library webpage this month to online games and activities created for scholars like you by the New York City transit museum. This month, the library YouTube channel will have tons of book trailers created by our 5th and 6th graders of their favorite spooky stories at all reading levels to get us in the spirit of Halloween. And all of this October fun is made possible by sharing on the Internet, which, believe it or not was invented 42 years ago in October 1969. Can you believe it? We love to share our favorite online resources and websites here at the library using Diigo, and you can see a tag cloud on our library webpage to see what scholars and teachers at this school are loving to use this month. That tag cloud changes all year long, so keep checking it. I can't wait to see you in the library, and to see what November brings.
