Hi, I have seen this very interesting link on the net. AU (African Union) Policy Framework for pastoralism in Africa. I think it is a very interesting document, because we have very confusing policies in this country. So we can use this framework for pastoralism in understanding our pastoralist problem and also formulating our policies and programme for pastoralists. It is very interesting. The Policy Framework is the first continent-wide policy initiative that aims to secure the rights of african pastoralists. Uncle, I had sent a link to you. Did you get it? Yes I got it. Did you read it? Yes I read it. What did you understand from that? We can have better facilities for the shepherds in India. If our (Indian) government also implements the similar policies for the shepherd community, like the African govt, then it would be very useful for the Indian shepherd community. We should also have a committee which should carry forward this idea.
