Elena, opiate replacement therapy (ORT) patient from Donetsk, Ukraine, December 2010

Elena suffers from erysipelatous inflammation but because of the absence of continuity of ORT she has to visit Donetsk ORT site every day refusing of the treatment of her disease

NGO “Our Victory” with the support of Renaissance Foundation on behalf of Elena and other patients appealed to the health care authorities: Head of Oblast Health Care Department and the Chief Neurologist of Donets Oblast

But both officials did not want to solve the problems of the sick people referring to ambiguous reasons, thus violating the Law on the Rights of People to Receive Medical Care

August 2011 – Elena still has all her diseases

The next step with regards to the acts of the officials will be appeal to the media, Ministry of Health Care and the President
