On Monday all started a hunger strike. In total more than a hundred immigrants stopped eating

Probably for them one of the last ways of making themselves heard.

They have no roof over their heads. The capacity of the welcome centre provided by the Red Cross

is insufficient. It holds only 50. Now they are in the rail station, in the gardens, in the parks.

There is nothing to eat. There is no shower. There is absolutely nothing.

First of all we want to break the wall of silence.

The immigrants are not able to reach their friends or relatives in France.

We demand freedom of movement for them and that they be allowed to find work in Italy or Europe.

Europe. All of these Tunisians see Ventimiglia as the gateway to it.
