Actually ForestWatchers is a project

that belongs to this idea of Citizen Cyberscience

that tries to engage more citizens

in the process of the creation of science

and knowledge

specifically ForestWatchers

has a simple objective but very ambitious

that it is put everybody to watch

control and try to stop the deforestation

of the forests of the whole world

A very cool job that

people from INPE is already

doing in Brazil's forests

but this is a very hard job,

so many people are spending a lot of energy in this

and the idea is to create a platform

that everybody from their home

can help in this process checking

a little square each time

saying: HEY here there is deforestation

we need to go there

and lights up a red alert

and the people goes there

and achieve to resolve the problem as a community
