  1. Title:
How to Create a Twitter Account
  2. Description:

    http://www.gfydmember.com/how-to-create-a-twitter-account

    What IS Twitter?

Twitter is a social networking and microblogging service that enables its users to send and read messages known as tweets. Tweets are text-based posts of up to 140 characters displayed on the authors profile page and delivered to the authors subscribers who are known as followers.

A great way to connect with friends, build relationships and your business brand.

One very important thing about Twitter make sure you are connecting with your audience and not shouting, Buy my product or services! People can tell the difference between sharing valuable information and helping them genuinely helping them by offering a solution that actually helps them solve a particular problem, or by recommending a product or service that focuses on helping them find the solution rather than trying to shove a sale down their throats.

Remember its about THEM not YOU!

Build relationships, connections, and friends first. The sales will come when people start to trust you as a valued connection, someone who genuinely cares if they solve the problem that is driving them NUTS. Do this and the sales will come effortlessly because you genuinely put their needs before your own.

Think outside the box. Think about the other guy first. It is NOT about you!

  3. [Music introduction]
  4. Hi everybody, this is Kimberly Bohannon with GFYDmember.com.
  5. Today I'm going to show you how to sign up for a Twitter account.
  6. If you don't have a Twitter account, you're going to first want to go Twitter
  7. T-W-I-T-T-E-R .COM and when you get to this page you're going to want to click on the 'join today' button right here.
  8. If you already have an account then you would just click 'sign in' but to start a new account you're going to click 'join today.'
  9. Now I've already set up this account so I'm just going to give you a little insight on how to do this.
  10. The first thing you're going to want to do is fill in your name.
  11. and you're going to want to write your name just exactly as if you were writing it on a piece of paper
  12. or printing it somewhere. You're going to want to leave a space between your first and last name.
  13. You're going to want to capitalize the first letter in your first name and the first letter in your last name.
  14. Right here. Again, you want to make sure that you leave a space in between,
  15. People searching for you are going to naturally type in your name as two separate words.
  16. Then you're going to select a username, and again I have already created this account,
  17. so it is going to tell me this account is not available.
  18. So if you're typing in a name and it is checking the availability, and it is already taken,
  19. you're going to want to try a variety of user names to get what you want.
  20. One of the things I do recommend is trying to get your name for a Twitter account, as well as your company.
  21. I do recommend doing both if you can do that - if it is possible.
  22. Then you're going to want to select a password.
  23. It's going to tell you whether or not its too short, or too long, if it is weak, if it is strong, and obviously,
  24. the more that you add to this being different - capitalization, and different type of [symbols],
  25. you know you want to use a # sign, a $ sign, an @ symbol,
  26. just a variety of characters and symbols that you can use in your password to keep that nice and strong.
  27. This is ultimately what you want, to have a very strong password so that it is not as easy to break into your account.
  28. Then you have to type in an email address for them to contact you.
  29. If you're setting up multiple accounts, then you're going to have to have different email addresses,
  30. and I'll show you what I mean.
  31. If I were to do, goforyourdream@gmail.com, which is already set up,
  32. when I go to move forward it is going to tell me that this address is already taken.
  33. So you're going to have to have different email addresses.
  34. Now, if you use Gmail, you can set up a multitude of accounts, even for just the purposes of
  35. setting up different types of accounts like this at Twitter.
  36. But you do have to have a different account for each Twitter name that you're going to be using.
  37. I allow people to find me by my email address, so I leave this box checked.
  38. Then you're going to want to scroll down, read through the terms of services, and then
  39. click HERE to create your account.
  40. Once that account is created, you're going to be able to log in, and sign into Twitter, up through here - you'll click on SIGN IN.
  41. By simply entering the username that you were approved for and the password that you selected.
  42. Then click SIGN IN.
  43. And that is all that it takes to get started on Twitter!
  44. To sign in, create a user name and a password, and you're ready to go.
  45. START TWEETING!
