Desde hace 8 años el gobierno mexicano intenta construir una presa que afectaría a 100 mil personas en el estado de Guerrero, México. Este 7 de mayo por primera vez en 32 años, el Gobernador visitó la zona que será afectada. Las comunidades reiteraron su posición de oposición al proyecto y le pidieron firmar los "Acuerdos de Cacahuatepec" mediante los cuales el Gobernador se compromete a gestionar la cancelación definitiva del proyecto. Sin embargo, unos días después él afirmó que el proyecto se construiría.
